Forest Service signs listed the miles at numerous trail junctions today. What a treat! It wasn't always marked and I had to guess which way to go a couple times but at least it was mostly downhill and I made good time. In fact I arrived in town an hour earlier than I expected. My hotel the Old Western Hotel was even right there where I crossed the river and the laundromat was close.

Originally I planned on just taking care of business and staying just the night but it is a nice little town and I might not be able to get everything done in time. The receptionist already offered me a small discount if I stay another night and I'm thinking about it.

This hotel is a really cool historic place. Awesome building but it is really run down. It's only the second hotel I've stayed in the US with the bathrooms down the hall setup. I showered in a claw footed bathtub.
