Since we didn't get here until after 11:30 last night I knew I wouldn't be hiking out this morning. I'd have a forced day of rest.

Believe it or not I had some trouble falling asleep at first. Don't worry though by the time I came downstairs I was well rested. I have many chores today so I won't get to relax.

Most importantly I have to figure out whether I am ending this trip on Clingmans Dome at the end of the MST or hiking a bit further. Already I know I won't hike as far north as Hot Springs, NC but I might still hike a few days out of the Smokies.

Then of course there is some Europe planning. That trip is fast approaching so if you enjoyed reading my experiences on the MST continue on with Eurotrashed trip.

Back on the trail tomorrow morning with 80 or so miles to go!
