Father Dyer Mtn and Crystal Peak (13852 ft / 4222 m): 27 Jul 2008

Father Dyer Mountain is a subpeak of Crystal Peak another one of CO's 100 highest. The East Ridge o f Dyer has a scramble route that I wanted to try. After reaching Father Dyer it would be an easy ri dge walk over to Crystal then I could continue on down the opposite saddle and take an old road back into the basin. I drove up the evening before and slept at the trailhead for an early start. Everything went well. The route wasn't as much scrambling as I expected but the great 4x4 road up to the basin made up for it.
