It must have cold last night. I had been getting showered with ice crystals from frozen condensation as the tent flopped in the wind. It really became annoying. The little bit of water left overnight in my cup was frozen too. I, however, was warm. Outside of my cozy sleeping bag I needed to put on my rain jacket to keep the wind from cutting through my fleece.

What lay before me was 13, well 12, miles along the beach and about 1 into town. This is my last beach walk on the Banks. I wish that I could write something special about it but I can't. It was the same as the other sections of beach except a bit colder. I did seem to hike the distance at a good clip though.

As I sat in Howards Pub with a Bloody Mary and conch fritters, my dilemma was whether to make the ferry crossing today or in the morning. It takes 2:15 so it is non trivial. I decided to go out in the morning. I picked up a room a couple blocks away the the Pony Island Motel.
