What a slow day. I must have been more wiped out from yesterday than I thought. I was tired from step one.

I am still ascending into the high country and now there is snow to contend with. It is very difficult to find the trail. In fact right now I don't know where it is. Neither do the two Scotsmen camped near me. They are thruhiking the JMT too, but did not expect snow. Hehehe. My compass plots suggest that I am right on top of it, but the trail must be hidden under the snow.

I am 3 miles short of where I wanted to be tonight. More miles to do tomorrow. I am meeting a friend on the 16th so I sort of want to stay on schedule.
