Only hiked a few hours today so this is a short journal. I mailed off a bunch of packages including one to an old hotel-saloon-restaurant in Ouray that I'll be staying at and another to the home of the lady that runs the campground in Marble. That will get me to Aspen.

After lunch I walked across town to the Jud Wiebe Trailhead and took that trail to the Deep Creek Trail. The day cooled off quickly. The town is at 8,700 ft so I did around 2,000 ft of elevation gain to get where I am now. For the 1st time in a long time I didn't put up my tent. Weather.com is forecasting 5 days of no rain!
