I revisited the Cathedral this morning. I have a great nighttime illumination picture from last night, but I really wanted some photos of the stained glass windows in the morning light. I have them, but the sky was overcast and the glass not very brilliant.

In the Cathedral's plaza, Jeanette, Germaine, and I met a Japanese tour group. Well really they did. The guide ran up to us across the plaza and asked if we were pilgrims. When we responded, "yes", she asked if we would talk to her group about our trip. I rushed off to find Satoe around the Cathedral and left them two to field question. I never found Satoe and by the time I returned the tourists had moved on. Jeanette and Germaine loved the experience and being the object of tourist attention and picture taking.

I stayed behind to visit the Museum of the Pantheon which was definitely worth it and the 3 € even if it was tiny. The Pantheon is really the tombs of many kings, queens, and counts. Attached is the Basillica of San Isidro built against some originally Roman and later medieval walls. I could not take pictures so I bought a couple postcards of the excellent frescos on the ceiling.

The hostel here has all the basics and our giant salad and pasta meal was great. Now is time for the journal. It is difficult to stay up to date when there is so much to do and see after stopping for the night. I still have pictures to delete from León. Many of my night shots did not work out. That is the beauty of digital.

Roughly 289 km left until Compostela. Wow. Around 10 days plus another 3 to Finsterre.
