This was another nice day of enjoyable hiking. This morning I spent hiking up the canyon then switchbacking up and over a mountain to a Forest Service Road on the other side. A couple of roads got me to Tonto National forest and the Superstition Wilderness. I like it so far. The trail followed two drainages and shortly after an old grave-site ascended the side of White Mountain to Reavis Pass. I'm camped at the pass at a a great spot listening to the wind and watching the embers of my micro fire. Another gorgeous clear AZ sky tonight. Phoenix is off to the west but I don't see any glow. |
