Short journal today. It was a great hike though. There was some route finding in the morning and some slow going but it all worked out. And as a bonus the weather was nice and cool. Great walking weather. The miles and time went quickly. Picketpest Mountain looked impressive.

Down at the trailhead things looked dire. Nobody was around and no cell reception. I carried my cell phone to here specifically to be picked up at this trailhead. Darn. No reception down by the highway either. I crawled under some barbed wire and tried hitchhiking. Just as I was about to give up a nice guy from Superior pulled over and took me into town. Many thanks to him. It isn't even legal to hitch in AZ.
